This video explains how political correctness and fear tactics are eroding the right to freedom of speech in light of the Charlie Hebdo murders and other current events.

Are First Amendment protections a remnant of a bygone era? Do we still have the right to freedom of speech? In an address to the UN, President Obama  stated, “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” His words have thus far proven to be true. Take, for example, the producer of a YouTube video about the life of Mohammed who actually found himself in jail.

Lest we think the US is the only place freedom of speech is in peril, we need only look at the plight of individuals in other countries that tried to exercise this right. Unfortunately, we all know what happened to the victims of the Charlie Hebdo massacre in France. In the Middle East, Israeli-Arab Mohammed Zoabi tried to speak out in defense of Israel, causing him to flee from the Holy Land for five months, fearing for his life. And there are many other examples we can give.

In this video, Ben Shapiro explains the growing threat to free speech in the US, a nation in which the government  increasingly encroaches upon the personal freedoms of its citizens. And it appears that this problem is not limited to the US .
