Hamas will be made to “pay the price” after firing hundreds of rockets at Israel in the last two days, resulting in injuries and deaths, says IDF spokesperson.

“We are going to make them pay the price and hold them accountable,” IDF Spokesperson Jonathan Conricus said Tuesday amid the escalation of violence from Hamas in Gaza, including rocket attacks that have wounded and killed civilians.

In response, the IDF has been attacking Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi ordered the call-up of 5,000 reservists in the wake of the escalating security situation.
