“We’re back,” a Jewish activist proclaims with passion as he explains the message behind the major increase in Jewish visits to the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site.

Rabbis Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel of the Land of Israel Network have been banned from the Temple Mount for praying on the complex, as it is against the rules of the Jordanian Waqf, or Islamic Trust, which administers the holy site, for a non-Muslim to pray there.

During the Festival of Sukkot, hundreds of Jews and others among the nations of the world have been visiting the site daily. The upsurge in interest, Gimpel explains, is desire, love and longing for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.
