A sukkah – a booth in which Jews eat their meals during the festival of Sukkot – now stands outside the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai, hosting patrons of the kosher Armani/Kaf restaurant.

Since the signing of the Abraham Accords between Israel, Bahrain and the UAE on September 15 at the White House, the peace deal has been embraced by the Emirati people.

Khaleej Times, the UAE’s first and leading English daily newspaper, published a large Rosh Hashana feature. And now a public sukkah, built by the local Chabad-Lubavitch organization, stands outside the Burj Khalifa skyscraper.

Until recently, who could have imagined that a sukkah would be standing in the UAE, outside the world’s largest building!
