Israel, located at the junction of three continents, is crossed by millions of migrating birds on an unparalleled scale.

Some 500 million birds traverse Israel’s narrow airspace twice a year as they migrate from Europe to Africa. Some of these include: water fowl, birds of prey and songbirds.

Israel is a niche destination for ornithologists and bird lovers from across the world who come to catch sight of more than 390 species of these feathered friends.

One of the prime spots for birding include the Hula Valley, a place of miracles and wonders that was completely covered with swamps just 50 years ago.
