Israel is getting closer to its goal to be at least ten percent solar dependent by 2020, by building a huge solar tower in the Negev desert.

There are a number of noteworthy solar towers in the world, namely the Gherkin in London and the Montparnasse Tower in France.

Israel is looking to tower over those sky scrapers with one of its own in the Israeli desert.
