WATCH: In Jerusalem, Trump Visits the Western Wall

Trump’s visit to the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem was the first-ever by a sitting US president.

US President Donald Trump, the first American president to visit the Kotel, or Western Wall, while holding office, was visibly moved at the experience.

After standing silently for several moments, he inserted a note into one of the cracks.

His wife Melania visited the women’s section of the holy site with his daughter, Ivanka, a convert to Judaism, who was seen tearing up with emotion.
