Children at Sheba Hospital near Tel Aviv woke up to the most amazing surprise ahead of the festive holiday of Purim. Outstanding!

The Jewish holiday of Purim is a favorite among children in Israel. They look forward to dressing up in costumes, giving and receiving baskets of treats, and playing games at Purim carnivals.

Sheba Hospital near Tel Aviv wanted to make sure the children in its rehabilitation department got their own special Purim. Thanks to the young women in National Service with the non-profit “Notnim Tikvah,” which means “Giving Hope,” the children woke up to a special treat. The rehabilitation wing was transformed into a scene from the classic children’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

These children’s Purim treat is just beginning. More celebrations will follow at the hospital on the holiday itself weekend.
