Not everyone is capable of being an emissary for Israel, she says, but those who do accept the challenge are shlichim (emissaries) not of Medinat Yisrael – the State of Israel – but of God, and they can change the world. To be a shaliach is a huge privilege, a zechut.
“We pay so much for our existence in this land,” she continues, but “we understand why we are here, why we fight and why we die.”
