Archaeologists searched an ancient drainage tunnel in Jerusalem, where they discovered more evidence of the Jewish connection to the Land of Israel.
When the Holy Temple stood, the Jewish people would ascend to Jerusalem for special services. Along the way, they would pass drainage tunnels and sometimes lose items that fell inside. The tunnels were also used during the time of the destruction of the Second Temple, when Jews tried to hide and wound up being slaughtered by the Roman conquerors. What has been found is truly remarkable. You’ll see incredible things, like a stone with the golden menorah inscribed on it – likely by someone who saw the actual menorah in the Temple.
