There is nothing like the celebration of Lag b’Omer in Israel, as large bonfires are lit, people sing and dance and music is blasted until late into the evening.

Neighborhoods all over Israel rock to the sound of music as large crowds gather either to watch or directly take part in the festive celebration of Lag b’Omer!

The celebrations take place all over Israel, and especially in Meron, the burial place of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, who we remember during this holiday.

Bonfires are lit throughout the country.

Families and friends often partake in festive barbecues while sitting around the campfire.

Here is a small taste of the excitement.
