Tel Aviv University ranked among the top 10 schools in the world for start-up founders, according to PitchBook’s 2019 annual Universities rankings.
PitchBook’s annual Universities publication ranks the top 50 college programs by their production of entrepreneurs who go on to raise Venture Capital funding.
Tel Aviv University was ranked eighth in the world and number one outside the U.S. for the second consecutive year.
The 694 entrepreneurs, graduates of Tel Aviv University, who set up 577 companies that raise $10.6 billion in capital were responsible for the university’s high ranking.
Haifa’s Technion was ranked in 14th place, Jerusalem’s Hebrew University came in 34th, and Ben Gurion University of the Negev was placed 49th.
In comparison, Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, and Harvard ranked in the top 10, while Yale came in 11th, UCLA in 12th, and Princeton in 13th place.
Another ranking puts TAU’s MBA students at 13th in the world, the only Israeli university placing among the top 25 institutes of higher learning, thanks to 253 entrepreneurs graduating from its MBA program.
