In the wake of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s positive response to Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el-Sisi’s call for peace talks, moderate Arab states have been reaching out diplomatically to Israel and showing some flexibility regarding the Arab Peace Initiative.

Egyptian TV host and lawmaker Tawfik Okasha reportedly told his viewers that Netanyahu mediated between Obama and el-Sisi following Egypt’s 2013 military coup.

Egyptian Presided el-Sisi introduced education reforms that will include teaching students about the peace accords between Israel and Egypt.
