Palestinian terrorist Muhannad Halabi, who murdered two Israelis and wounded two others last October, has been rewarded posthumously with national stardom and now will have a park named after him.
A Palestinian municipality in the Ramalllah area has announced Sunday it will name a public park after Muhannad Halabi, a terrorist who killed two Israelis in Jerusalem’s Old City last October.
The Jerusalem Post reported on Monday that the new park will be built in the municipality of Surda-Abu Qashon on the site where Halabi’s house existed before it was demolished by the IDF earlier this month.
Halabi stabbed and murdered two Israelis, Rabbi Nehemiah Lavi and Aharon Benita, and injured Benita’s wife, Adele, and their 2-year-old son as they were returning from praying at the Kotel.
Halabi has become a role model and has achieved a status of Palestinian national stardom, as babies were named after him, as well as a street in the Palestinian Authority (PA) and a youth soccer tournament.
Meanwhile, Palestinian activists announced on Sunday that they have collected 650,000 NIS in donations to build a new house for the Halabi family, the Post reported.
Following the destruction of their house on January 9, the entire Halabi family gathered around the ruins and took a selfie picture in which all family members are seen smiling and flashing the victory sign.
The Palestinian leadership regularly glorifies terrorists and promotes terror against Israelis in the media, education system, in sports and in any other venue they can.
