Israeli forces were successful in thwarting several Palestinian attempts to kill Israelis on Wednesday.

Israeli security forces thwarted several attempts by Palestinian terrorists to attack Israelis at several locations in Israel on Wednesday.

A terrorist attempted to stab soldiers manning a security checkpoint near the city of Ariel, in Samaria. The terrorist was shot dead. No soldiers were wounded in the attack.

Later on in the day, Israeli forces arrested a female terrorist who infiltrated the community of Kedumim in Samaria. She was caught at the entrance to one of the homes and was found to be carrying a knife.

She admitted during her initial questioning that she had come to murder Israelis.

In a related incident, the Shin Bet (Israel’s Security Agency) announced that security forces had captured the Palestinian terrorist who ran over and murdered Avraham Chasno, a resident of Kiryat Arba near Hebron, in October.

The terrorist was in custody of the Palestinian police until recent days, but was released and then captured shortly after by Israeli Special Forces in a complex operation.

Earlier on Wednesday, two Palestinian terrorists embarked on a shooting spree in Jerusalem, during which a man was critically wounded. Police forces subsequently were successful in killing the two.

These incidents were the latest in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of the past six months, claiming the lives of 33 victims and wounding some 400.
