Can’t take a joke? Hezbollah supporters are enraged by a TV skit laughing at their leader Nasrallah.

Angry supporters of the Lebanon-based Hezbollah terror organization have blocked roads around Lebanon to protest a TV program that poked fun at the group’s leader.

The program aired on the Saudi-owned MBC TV showed a man dressed like the black turbaned Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah taking orders from Iranians.

Nasrallah is seen giving a speech, stating “we are independent. And to those who say that Iran tells us what to do, Iran doesn’t tell us to do anything. Sometimes were are aided by their opinions.” While saying this he kisses Iran’s hand several times and asks: “Is it alright like that?”

The program comes amid rising tension between the Iran-backed Hezbollah and Saudi Arabia over the wars in Yemen and Syria.

Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported that Hezbollah supporters closed roads with burning tires in different areas including the suburbs of Beirut and the eastern Bekaa Valley.

The protests began Saturday night and several roads were closed on Sunday.

The Lebanese army said in a statement that troops were deployed in several areas around Lebanon to prevent any violence.

Israel’s Ynet reported that Arab social networks were flooded with the hashtag “We will burn them for you, oh Sayyed (Nasrallah)”.

This is not the first time a Nasrallah parody causes unrest in Lebanon.
