A new and welcome trend? Yet another Hamas terror tunnel has collapsed in Gaza, at least the third in recent weeks.

Another Hamas terror tunnel has collapsed in Gaza on Wednesday evening, a day after another tunnel collapsed and killed two Hamas terrorists.

The Jerusalem Post reports that Hamas blocked off the area around the tunnel and was making sure that Gaza-based radio stations were not reporting details of the incident.

It is unclear if there were any casualties in the incident.

This is at least the third such terror-tunnel collapse in recent weeks.

Seven Hamas terrorists died in a tunnel collapse last week, which they say was caused by heavy rainfall.

Hamas held a large procession in their honor, lauding them as “Martyrs of the Preparation,” a reference to their work digging tunnels used to attack Israel.

Hamas has built a sophisticated network of tunnels that it has used to penetrate Israel to carry out terrorist attacks on civilians and soldiers. Israel destroyed most of the tunnels during the summer of 2014, but Hamas has since worked vigorously to rebuild the network, many times at the expense of Gazans, from whom they steal building materials which they use for military build-up.

“The resistance factions are in a state of ongoing preparation underground, above ground, on land and sea,” Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh boasted at a rally honoring the seven dead.
