In an ironic twist, anti-Israel Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Denver unknowingly used a free Israeli website builder to help promote a boycott of Israel. When it was noticed, they justified it!

Anti-Israel activists at the University of Denver built a new website promoting Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel, but unwittingly used WIX, a free Israeli website builder, to support their agenda.

A pro-Israel site, Israellycool, noticed the WIX symbol on top-right of the screen this week and publicized it.

The anti-Israel group, DU Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), in response to “online harassment that we are not practicing BDS given our use of WiX technology,” posted an apparently hypocritical – and amusing – statement Thursday on its Facebook page that was made in a similar situation by a SJP branch at Cornell University:

Not a ‘Rejection of Everything Israeli’

“Let us be clear: BDS is not abstention, nor an absolute moral principle. It is not isolation or withdrawal, and it does not entail a rejection of everything Israeli. It is not anti-Semitic, and it has nothing to do with the merits of Israeli technology. BDS is not the attempt of beautiful souls to avoid contamination with oppression and keep their own hands clean: it is a tactic within a larger strategy, and it is beginning to work.”
