A female Arab-Israeli terrorist came close to carrying out an attack when security forces got wind of the plan and managed to capture her in the nick of time.

A potential terrorist attack was prevented on Monday evening when Israeli police captured and apprehended a suspect in the northern city of Nahariya.

Israel Police received an alert at about 9 p.m., according to which Fatma Azbarga, a 28-year-old Israeli Arab who lives in Jerusalem, was planning to carry out a terrorist attack very shortly. According to police, she had quarreled with her family before reaching the decision.

The police pinpointed her cellular phone in the area of Nahariya and proceeded to place roadblocks near the city, inspecting passing vehicles in an effort to catch her.

Azbarga, originally from the town of Taybeh, was soon found in a taxi in the city’s Trumpeldor neighborhood. She was immediately arrested and taken for questioning.

Following the arrest, the roadblocks were removed and the alertness level was set back to normal.
