Pro-Israel American entertainer Adam Sandler, saying he’s “proud of being a Jew,” slammed British musician Roger Waters for his aggressive activism against Israel.
Adam Sandler slammed Pink Floyd co-founder and Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) supporter Roger Waters Tuesday during his appearance on the Howard Stern Show on Tuesday.
Waters, a strong supporter of the BDS movement, pressures entertainers not to perform in the Jewish state.
“I’m very pro-Israel,” the Jewish actor/comedian/filmmaker told Stern, who himself has blasted Waters many times on his satellite radio show. “I’m disgusted that they single out Israel, that [they say], ‘We can’t play Israel.’”
“I’m proud of being a Jew, and that’s what I am,” Sandler said, adding that he loves it when Stern tells Waters off.
In October, Stern condemned Waters for his vicious attacks on Israel, which he labeled as anti-Semitism. The next month, the radio host said that Waters “comes off like an anti-Semite,” and urged his listeners not to be “fooled” by the musician and his anti-Israel rants.
