We must push our representatives to oppose unilateral actions that threaten Israel’s security.

On December 23, acting on the orders of President Barack Obama, the US abstained during a vote at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) condemning Israel’s presence in Judea and Samaria, and thereby failed to veto a one-sided, anti-Israel resolution.

This action, UNSC Resolution 2334, hinders the peace process by seeking to impose unilateral solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict instead of supporting an agreement reached through direct, bilateral negotiations, the only true way real peace can be achieved in the Middle East.

On January 4, Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Ben Cardin (D-MD) introduced a bipartisan resolution in the Senate that expresses opposition to UNSC Resolution 2334 and calls for it to be repealed or significantly altered.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) and Ranking Member Eliot Engel (D-NY) introduced a similar bipartisan resolution in the House of Representatives.

“Our government abandoned our ally Israel when she needed us the most,” said House Speaker Paul Ryan. “It is time to repair the damage done by this misguided hit job at the UN.”

The votes on these crucial resolutions are imminent.

Please urge your senators to support this resolution, thus ensuring Israel’s security and its international standing.

Please contact your senators and congressmen and urge them take action against the UN’s anti-Israel resolution.
