Abbas is being roundly condemned for a hateful speech promoting anti-Semitism and justifying the murder of Jews. Does anyone still believe he could negotiate peace with the Jewish state?

From the 11th century until the Holocaust, Jews were persecuted and massacred not because they were Jewish, but because of their behavior in society, Palestinian Authoity head Mahmoud Abbas declared.

Abbas’ anti-Semitic lecture was condemned by the United States, the European Union, the United Nations, Germany and others.

Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon called on the UN Security Council to condemn Abbas’ hateful remarks.

“Apparently, a Holocaust denier remains a Holocaust denier,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated. “I call upon the international community to condemn the grave antisemitism of Abu Mazen [Abbas’s nickname], which should have long since passed from this world.” The foreign ministry said Abbas was promoting hatred towards Israel and the Jewish people.

Considering the Palestinian Authority’s continuous incitement to terror against Israeli civilians, this should really come as no surprise.

PA President Mahmoud Abbas: Holocaust, Massacres of European Jews Due to Their Function in Society as Usurers; Hitler Struck a Deal with the JewsPA President Mahmoud Abbas said that the massacres to which European Jews were subjected, from the 11th century until the Holocaust, were not because they were Jews, but because of their function in society. “The anti-Jewish [sentiment] was not because of their religion, but because of their function in society, which had to do with usury, banks, and so on,” he said in his speech at the Palestinian National Council in Ramallah on April 30. Abbas further said that Hitler had struck a deal with the Jewish Anglo-Palestine Bank in Jerusalem to facilitate emigration of German Jews to Palestine. “Their narrative about coming to this country because of their longing for Zion, or whatever – we’re tired of hearing this,” he said. “The truth is that this is a colonialist enterprise, aimed at planting a foreign body in this region.”
