President Donald Trump appointed a new U.S. Envoy to the Middle East after Jason Greenblatt’s departure from the administration was announced last week.

Ahead of the Bahrain summit, US Special Envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt clarified that the Trump administration does not intend to impose a plan.
‘The PA chose not to condemn the heinous murder of Yotam Ovadia (not surprising), but instead condemned US Ambassador to Israel for conveying POTUS’s condolences…Nothing more to say’!’ Greenblatt charged.
‘American ideas or deals that bypass the Palestinian leadership’s position on Jerusalem, statehood and refugees will only lead to a dead end,’ Abu Rudeineh said of Trump’s peace plan.
On Friday President Donald Trump’s envoys Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt got down to business with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to work on the long-awaited US peace plan.
American Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt derided Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ failure to mention the Jewish people’s connection to Jerusalem in a speech this week.
In Washington, Abbas signaled he would abandon the strategy he pursued in recent years seeking unilateral statehood recognition on the international stage.
