An Israeli victim of Palestinian terror is fighting for his life after sustaining wounds to his upper body.
A Palestinian terrorist stabbed and critically wounded an Israeli at the shopping center at the Gush Etzion Junction on Sunday.
The terrorist was shot and neutralized.
The victim, in his 40s, was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem hospital with stab wounds to his upper body. He is in a critical condition and breathing with a respirator, Magen David Adom emergency medical volunteers said.
The terrorist, 17 years old from the Palestinian village of Yatta in the Hebron area, was taken into custody.
According to initial reports, the victim himself shot and neutralized his attacker. It was later confirmed that it was another civilian who shot the terrorist.
The Gush Etzion Junction has been the site of multiple terror attacks in recent years. The shopping area in which the attack occurred is shared by Israelis and Palestinians.
