Only a few hours after Twitter suspended the official account of Hamas’ Izz ad Din al-Qassam Brigades on Monday, its armed military wing, Hamas opened two new accounts and is tweeting again.

The account editor told the Al-Qassam website that twitter has suspended the account without warning, and noted Hamas’ 140,000 followers on the social media network.

The Arabic account suspension comes two weeks after twitter suspended the terror group’s English account.

“The repeated suspension of Al-Qassam accounts by Twitter exposes bias to the Israeli occupation, the real terrorism in the world,” the al-Qassam Brigades stated

In a statement, Hamas’ armed forces claimed they did not violate Twitters’ terms of service, and “will keep on the same way of exposing Israel’s terror against Palestinian people.”

“Suspending our accounts repeatedly is unacceptable, and we have the right to defend our people, land, and legal resistance,” the statement said.

Social media has become a prominent tool for terror organization to disperse their propaganda and incitement and to recruit new terrorists, and Twitter has recently begun to clamp down on terror-linked accounts, including 125,000 Jihadist-related accounts.

“We condemn the use of Twitter to promote terrorism and the Twitter Rules make it clear that this type of behavior, or any violent threat, is not permitted on our service,” the Twitter stated.
