France reportedly continues funding PA general budget, despite clear evidence provided by a media watchdog that it pays salaries to terrorists.

Notwithstanding documented evidence that the Palestinian Authority (PA) funds terrorists, the U.S., the European Union, Norway and other Western donors stopped contributing to the PA general budget. France, however, continues contributing to the PA budget, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reports.

The PA announced last week that France has signed agreements to give the PA money for various projects and to contribute “financial aid directly to the public treasury in the amount of eight million euro,” according to PMW.

The budget to which France is contributing pays monthly salaries to terrorists, including, for example, Abdallah Barghouti of Hamas, who made the bombs that murdered 67 people, and Abbas Al-Sayid, who planned two suicide bombings in which 35 innocent people were killed.

“The French government should note that the PA pays more than $12 million a month in salaries to terrorist prisoners,” as noted on Official PA TV, June 11, 2014, the PMW report continues. “Accordingly, France’s eight million euro ($8.9 million) will cover approximately three weeks of terrorists’ salaries.”

PA President Mahmoud Abbas admitted last month that the PA is paying salaries to terrorists, despite previous public assurances that such payments had ended.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently blasted France for its “scandalous” vote in favor of an anti-Israel UNESCO resolution that ignored historic Jewish ties to the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, and a French-initiated peace conference against Jerusalem’s interests.
